Surveying
Use Oxley's call off sheets to manage requests the doors and dates you need or Oxley will come and measure each opening for you - Site surveys are available as part of the Oxley service and we are happy to run through with site managers and surveyors such potential pitfalls.
Brickwork dimensions – A little pre-planning can make all the difference to cost – Oxley will advise the optimum dimensions to provide a best value solution. "If you make your opening this size, you'll hit the sweet spot for the best price for a garage door.
Thresholds – We'll guide you on kerb position and threshold construction to achieve the best finish and performance.
Ceiling construction – A garage door cannot hang off a suspended ceiling – the weight is too great – by installing timbers beforehand, the problem does not arise - Oxley will advise on the type and location required.
Cable runs – As more and more control and automation products become available the amount of cabling that needs to be installed at the 1st fix stage is increasing – again by running through these options early, ultimately we’ll save you time and money.
We have our own teams of engineers (Paye not sub-contracted out) who are vastly experienced in all aspects of site work. Every member of staff is fully trained and suitably accredited for site work and best-practice industry standards. Health & Safety is paramount and site safety is closely managed.
Most other companies operate a “fit and forget” policy – at Oxley we like to be a little different. Every door is supplied with a homeowner handover pack, including keys and important information on operating and maintaining the garage door. Every Oxley door is also available with a service plan - regular maintenance that not only keep the door working well, but is also sensible in terms of safety, security and durability.

Put simply, a power operated door that is installed without a UKCA/CE mark and supporting documentation is illegal and, as a consequence, its safety is obviously in doubt. Oxley only installs UKCA/CE marked systems and will provide all the necessary documentation and technical files to demonstrate the installation is legal and safe, protecting you and your customers.
