Our Industrial Roller Shutter Doors are used by many household named multi-national operations as well as sole traders alike.
Industrial Roller Shutter Doors provide access and security solutions to warehouses, loading bays, goods inwards stores, car park entrances, agricultural buildings and many other ‘high usage’ locations.
Why choose Oxley for your industrial shutters?
Ideally suited to industrial applications, the curtain of the door is manually raised via a continuous haul chain which drives the fully sprung counter balanced roller barrel assembly.
The roller barrel assembly is suspended by mild steel end plates that are either independently fixed from the side guides or with full length ‘flag post’ angles to which the side guides are also secured.
The spring assisted roller barrel is driven by a hand chain wheel mounted either directly at one end of the tube or via a series of reduction gears, dependent upon the size of the door.
Ideally suited for industrial applications that require frequent usage.
All door components are identical to that of the manually operated ‘hand chain’ roller shutter door, except that for the door being raised automatically by a 3phase 415 volt electric motor in lieu of the hand chain wheel drive mechanism.
The standard actuation method is via an up, down and stop button station.
A manual override continuous haul chain is provided for use in the event of a power failure.
A single phase 240 volt option is available where site conditions dictate.
The roller shutter door curtain is constructed from fully interlocking laths which are retained by nylon, pressed metal or cast iron end locks, riveted at both ends of every alternate lath to prevent lateral movement, complete with appropriate bottom rail and a casing box that is manufactured from galvanised steel to cover the coil and protect the curtain and barrel from the elements. Front fascia and soffit panels are also available to conceal the coil assembly.
A 75mm deep concave profile, rolled mild steel galvanised section, suitable for most applications, available in 18, 20 & 22SWG thickness, offering a high degree of security.
A flat lath profile, mild steel galvanised section available in 24SWG thickness, interlocked to create a double skin section, filled with 20mm thick polystyrene insulated, providing a ‘U’ value of 0.733 W/m2K. Ideal where temperature control between environments is of importance.
All roller shutters can be provided with nylon brush strip seals of fitting at soffit level and / or along the vertical guide channels.
A rubber extrusion floor seal can also be provided for the bottom rail to ensure closing on uneven floor levels and help prevent the ingress of water.
Installed on either side of the curtain a wicket door provides safe and secure pedestrian access through the roller shutter door when lowered. The whole assembly is independently side hung and swings clear when the roller shutter door requires raising. The door is manufactured from welded section and fitted with shutter laths to match the rest of the curtain. Standard fittings include a ball type catch and night latch lock. On electrically operated doors an interlock switch prevents operation when the wicket door is in position.
