Manually operated ‘push up / pull down’ self coiling Roller Shutters

An economic roller shutter which is ideal for smaller apertures where the door will be opened / closed a limited number of times each day.

The curtain of the door is manually raised, assisted by counter balancing springs within the roller barrel assembly. Mild steel ‘flag post’ design guide assemblies are fixed vertically to the structure surrounding the aperture to support the roller barrel assembly onto which the roller shutter curtain is secured.

All manually operated roller shutters can be secured with a wide variety of locking devices such as:

• Bullet Locks
• Centre Lock
• Ground Lock with Pad Lock

Electrically operated single phase ‘tubular motor’ Roller Shutters

The ideal roller shutter for commercial applications where the door is only required to operate a limited number of times per day.

Mild steel ‘flat post’ design guide assemblies are fixed vertically to the structure surrounding the aperture to support the roller barrel assembly, housing an internally fitted, single phase, 240 Volt ac motor.

A manual override hand crank facility is available in the event of a power failure.

All electrically operated roller shutters can be actuated automatically by either:

• Key Switch with secure lockable galvanised steel box
• Rocker Switch
• Hand held Radio Transmitter

Door Curtain

The roller shutter door curtain is constructed from fully interlocking laths which are retained by nylon, pressed metal or cast iron end locks, riveted at both ends of every alternate lath to prevent lateral movement, complete with appropriate bottom rail and a casing box that is manufactured from galvanised steel to cover the coil and protect the curtain and barrel from the elements. Front fascia and soffit panels are also available to conceal the coil assembly.

Curtain Options

Standard 75m Concave Lath

A 75mm deep concave profile, rolled mild steel galvanised section, suitable for most applications, available in 18, 20 & 22SWG thickness, offering a high degree of security. Available in solid, perforated or plastisol styles.

Standard 50mm Flat Lath

A 50mm deep, flat profile, rolled mild steel galvanised section, available in 20 & 22SWG thickness, the most commonly used alternative for commercial roller shutter doors.

Tube & Link Grille

Constructed from galvanised mild steel or aluminium tube and links fitted onto an 8mm diameter steel or aluminium bar giving an open ‘brick bond’ pattern approximately 223mm wide x 58mm deep, locked together by star lock serrated washers at both ends of every bar. This type of curtain is ideal for shop fronts, counters, car parks or areas requiring security, whilst still allowing good airflow and visibility.
