How do up & over garage doors work?

Up and Over Garage Doors are available with either canopy or retractable lifting gear. Both lifting gears feature an anti-drop safety system and are constructed from high quality, durable components for safe daily operation. Canopy When fitted with Canopy lifting gear, Up and Over Garage Doors travel up and over on spring assisted arms along vertical tracks at the sides of the opening. Once open, the door panel protrudes out of the garage opening by approximately a third thus creating a canopy. With Canopy lifting gear there are no tracks protruding into the garage space. RetractableUp and Over Garage Doors with Retractable lifting gear travel up and over on spring assisted arms in the same way Canopy lifting gear does but instead of protruding out of the opening, the door is fully retracted back into the garage on vertical tracks. Retractable lifting gear is designed to work specifically with garage door openers for easy garage access at the touch of a button.
